My name is Paul Cardillo. I am a web development and web content management professional with a corporate communications background and over 20 years of retail, digital, and social media marketing experience. I am comfortable with multiple content management systems and implementing web-based projects for a vast array of customers. I am also a musician and music industry sales and marketing veteran with detailed knowledge of copyright law and music licensing.
I am currently the Website and Digital Services Specialist at UNC-Chapel Hill Division of Finance and Operations Service Center of Excellence (SCE). In the past few years I have managed several web redesign projects ranging from whole sites to custom landing pages. All of the following projects were completed utilizing UNC Chapel Hill’s custom Heelium WordPress theme.
The Three Zeros Environmental Initiative’s web presence was nested under the UNC Sustainability site. I moved their pages to a self-contained site at threezeros.unc.edu.
Trademarks and Licensing
As a part of the much larger Campus Enterprises website (whose front page was another project I managed), the UNC office of Trademarks and Licensing needed a stronger presence. I worked with them to create a Trademarks and Licensing internal landing page that was cleaner and easier to navigate than their former page and that showed off their brand to better effect.
One of my first projects at the SCE was a landing page of resources for UNC Police’s Carolina Safe project. It’s still one of my favorites.
I have created several presentations to help with training and education of UNC Chapel Hill Service Center of Excellence team members. I have also conducted remediation on Finance and Operations websites to help bring our sites into compliance with WCAG 2.0 regulations.
